1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ArivuAI mobile app and the arivuai.app website (together, the "Service"), operated by ArivuAI ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

ArivuAI is intended for school students studying under the Tamil Nadu State Board, primarily in Classes 10 and 12. If you are under 18 years of age, you should use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for reviewing these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at info@arivuai.app if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

3. Description of service

ArivuAI provides AI-assisted, syllabus-aligned practice questions, tests, automatic scoring, and progress tracking for Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Tamil, and English. Features, question content, and the app's design may be updated, added, or removed from time to time without prior notice.

4. Subscription and payment

• ArivuAI is offered on a subscription basis at ₹50 per year, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
• Payment is processed through Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS). We do not directly handle or store your payment details.
• Subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand through your Google Play or App Store account settings.
• Refunds are subject to the refund policies of Google Play and Apple App Store, as applicable. ArivuAI does not independently process refunds for store-billed purchases.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing for future billing periods, with reasonable advance notice.

5. Acceptable use

When using ArivuAI, you agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, reproduce, or redistribute questions, answers, or other app content for commercial purposes
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app's underlying code or infrastructure
• Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service or generate test attempts
• Share your account credentials with others or use another person's account without permission
• Use the Service in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disrupts other users' experience

6. Content and intellectual property

All questions, explanations, branding, design, and software that make up ArivuAI are either originally created by us or licensed to us, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Our practice questions are written independently to align with the Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus and are not reproduced from copyrighted textbook material.

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial study purposes only. You may not republish, sell, or distribute app content elsewhere without our prior written permission.

7. Educational disclaimer

ArivuAI is designed to support exam preparation and self-assessment. It is a supplementary study tool and does not guarantee any specific exam result, grade, or outcome. Questions are written to reflect the syllabus and typical exam patterns but may not cover every topic exhaustively, and occasional errors, despite our review process, are possible. Please continue to refer to official textbooks and guidance from your school.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArivuAI and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including but not limited to exam performance, data loss, or service interruptions. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or for other reasonable cause. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting info@arivuai.app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tamil Nadu, India.
